It all started one day, when a friend of mine came by the house to show me his new longboard. I was surprised to see a hardwood deck that was so long. After I took it out for a cruise, I was hooked. Since I already had a woodshop, it was only natural that I would build my own longboard. Next thing I knew, more and more people started asking me to build them a board, so I started chicagolongboards.com, and the rest is history. After a while of building hardwood decks exclusively, I felt the need for a challenge, so I started working with composite materials. Now there are many different disciplines of skateboarding that I cover, with even more to come.
